Unisense partners in preserving prehistoric shipwrecks
Unisense is proud to be partner in a new three year project sponsored by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Program starting September 2012 titled “Development of Tools and Techniques to Survey, Assess, Stabilise, Monitor and Preserve Underwater Archaeological Sites” or SASMAP.
Unisense primary role is to develop and provide underwater microsensors and datalogger technologies to study the microbiology in the prehistoric settlement sites. Accessing the microbial activities allow archeologist to make decisions in preserving our underwater cultural heritage.
